Capitale
A couple of Saturdays ago I captured an event at the Burford Bridge Hotel in Dorking. I’ve driven past on numerous occasions, and attended a wedding there when I was 8, but I had no idea of their venue that is Tithe Barn. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and was recently renovated after the River Mole burst its banks. With it’s barn like decor and minstrels gallery, it makes a lovely venue for weddings and parties, and this particular party was a pretty awesome one!
With my previous job, and over the last 15 or so years, I’ve heard a lot of bands play live. But this band has really stuck in my memory. They’re called Capitale, and they’re an 8 piece covers band based in London. Their energy is infectious, and in fact, the 15 seconds just as they started their second set was the only chance I had to capture them all together as a wide-angle image before the dance floor filled.
