Behind the Scenes on a Portrait Session

Just before Christmas, I had the pleasure of working with Olly and Francisca, their gorgeous boys (almost 3 and 7 months) and their beloved dog Millie on an update to their Family Portraits. As we are somewhat limited with the weather at this time of year, especially when very little ones are involved, so they decided that my At Home Portrait Session was a perfect choice to not only capture their family, but in the place that they are most at home, literally!

During our pre-session consultation (we chose online due to busy schedules), we talked over what makes this family happiest and put together some ideas as to how to capture this in a way that sums up these emotions in photographs. I also discovered Hugo's love of hats, as will become apparent below!

Through play, songs and stories and toys, we captured an hour of this family's Saturday morning fun, and the happiness and love was so very wonderful to see, and they have agreed to let me share a few of their photographs with you.
